- First Minister for Scotland plugs renewables gap04/09/2008 17:17:50Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond today visited Scottish and Southern Energy’s (SSE’s) new £150 million hydro electric scheme at Glendoe, to mark the impounding or ‘plugging’ of the dam. The 100MW project is Scotland’s first conventional large scale hydro electric power station for 50 years.
- SSE Domestic Energy Prices from 25 August 200821/08/2008 14:05:13Scottish and Southern Energy plc ("SSE") will increase its prices for domestic electricity and gas customers on Monday 25 August 2008. Prices for electricity customers will increase by 19.2% (average) and prices for gas customers will increase by 29.2%, and they will be held at the revised levels until at least the start of 2009.
